Our Volunteers at Fledgling offer their time out of love and a passion for what we are trying to achieve, and all of our Volunteers are people who have struggled in ways similar to our members so we can offer firsthand insight.

Fledgling Manager

Richard is a wonderfully enthusiastic individual who is very dedicated and proactive in the work we do at Fledgling.

"Hi everyone. I'm Richard, aged 44. I was born in Kent in the southeast of England. However, I've lived more than two-thirds of my life in Scotland. I've got an honours degree in economics and politics, however my main recent passions have always been music, appreciating people's artwork and museums etc. Its a great way to deal with life's pressures, think about and express how you really feel. I'm mildly autistic - my diagnosis only happened for me five years ago - so I experience the feelings of anxiety/low mood a lot but I'm pretty excited to take part in the positive sharing experience with everyone at Fledgling."
